China’s Brutalises HK with the Tricks It Used in Tibet

You don’t believe that China is colonising Hong Kong? Take a look at the HK SAR Gov OFFICIAL STATISTICS:

  1. As of end of 2012, Hong Kong’s total population is 7.17 million
  2. According to Hong Kong SAR Government, between 1st July 1997 and 31st December 2012, total new immigrants from China (one-way permits) amounted to: 760,000
  3. Since 2003, HKSAR Government started to attract new immigrants via investments scheme. As of 31st March 2013, total number of immigration applicants via the investment scheme was 28,168 and 17,749 of them have been approved – the majority of them are from China
  4. The HKSAR Government launched the “Quality Migrant Admission Scheme” in 2006, and loosen the restriction on China students studying in Hong Kong. According to the Census and Statistics Department, as of end of 2012 the number of Chinese that entered Hong Kong but have not lived in Hong Kong for seven years (i.e. non permanent residents) via the “Admission Scheme for Mainland Talents and Professionals” and “Immigration Arrangements for Non-local Graduates” reached over 70,000 – and the number continues to raise

  5. According to the HKSAR Government’s press release issued on 20th February 2013, the Hospital Authority estimated that there are 150,000 anchor babies who were born in Hong Kong by their Chinese mothers (non Hong Kong residents) but living in various provinces including Guangdong. Over 17,000 students travel across the broader from China to study in Hong Kong every day. These numbers are growing on a monthly basis

  6. Over ONE MILLION of new immigrants from China are now living in Hong Kong and call themselves “new Hong Kongers” in a matter of 15, 16 years. Given that the local’s birth rate is low, the number of “new Hong Kongers” will quickly catch up with the number of “Hong Kongers”

Hong Kong SAR Government is not serving the people of Hong Kong/Hong Kongers – it is an organisation backed and handpicked by CCP. Their priority is to please China and their sole purpose is to assist China on executing all the plans they have. China wants to get rid of Hong Kongers, no doubt about it – why would a dictator, a tyranny want to have people that do not like itself and do not obey?

From V for Vendetta:

He promised you order, he promised you peace, and all he demanded in return was your silent, obedient consent.

Over and Out!

Do You Think Hong Kongers are Qualified to “Tolerate and Forgive”?

In 2012, Hong Kong recorded the total of 50,000,000 tourists, and the majority of them are mainland Chinese. Let’s put this number into context. 50,000,000 visitors is seven times of Hong Kong’s population. Can you imagine a place received tourists amounted to seven times of its population? In addition, these tourists are mainly from the same country. The number of floating population of a tiny area amounts to seven times of the area’s population, putting tremendous pressure of this place, challenging this place’s maximum capacity,  namely: geographical, physical and psychological capacities. At the same time, the influx of visitors is changing the value, lifestyle and direction of development of this place, and more importantly, affecting this place’s structure and future.

The irony is, fake-left-wings politicians and middle class still believe that they are the host of this place. They, with an attitude of being superior and pretend to be humanitarians, ask Hong Kongers to tolerate. how could 7 million people tolerate and forgive 50 million people? How could you ask the disadvantaged to tolerate and forgive the invasion of a much stronger nation which armies can be easily mobilised? The cinemas, local eateries and co-op stores that once belonged to the 7 million people, are turned into pharmacies, jewellery shops and handbag stores that belong to 50 million people. The houses, school spaces, formula powder of these 7 million people were taken away by the 50 million people, and the 7 million people have to tolerate and forgive. The free market of 7 million people is being severely disrupted by a non-free market owned by 1.3 billion people, and the 7 million people have to tolerate and forgive… It is always the privilege of the stronger side to tolerate and forgive the weak and disadvantaged. Asking those who are being bullied and pushed around to tolerate and forgive is a self-deception concept.

An article by Chan King-Fai (a Hong Kong commentator) called “The Limit of a Tourist Destination Unvealed by Formula Powder Shortage” said that to any place in the world, a  massive amount of tourists entering it uncontrolled can affect it substantially, not only on its economy. Focusing purely on free flow of tourists, allowing a place to be penetrated by an outside power, the consequence could be just like Zygmunt Bauman said “helplessly shackled to localities that are slipping away from their grasp“.

Populism in Hong Kong

Populism has been viewed as a political ideology, political philosophy, or as a type of discourse. Generally, populists tend to claim that they side with “the people” against “the elites”. While for much of the twentieth century, populism was considered to be a political phenomenon mostly affecting Latin America, since the 1980s populist movements and parties have enjoyed degrees of success in First World democracies such as the USA, Canada, Italy, the Netherlands and Scandinavian countries.

Populism has become a popular topic in recent days in Hong Kong. Some, particularly the pro-China people, are asking (or accusing?) why Hong Kong people have become populists.

This is not hard to imagine, if you follow the news in Hong Kong.

When the discussion of the transfer of sovereignty to the PRC began in 1980s, Hong Kong people were terrified of the Community PRC. Hence, the massive amount of Hong Kongers emigrating to foreign countries to live a life as a second grade citizen. (More to discuss about the transfer of sovereignty – there are reasons why I didn’t use the term “handover”)

After 15 years under the PRC’s rein (yes, supposed to be 1-country-2-system, but it’s fabricated), the changes in Hong Kong are so substantial that people become more and more edgy (Hong Kong people have always come across as “tamed” and politically ignorant). Here are a few major examples:

  • Article 23 (2003): despite the fact that Hong Kongers have expressed their view repeatedly. The Hong Kong SAR government insisted that the majority of people in Hong Kong wants this to be a legislation. Regina Ip, then Secretary for Security, as well as the HKSAR government, were determined to push the bill forward. Over 500,000 people went on the street to protest against the bill. Under enormous pressure, the government back-down.
  • Copyright Amendment Bill (2011): parody is something that many enjoy. This does not only help nurturing creativity, in fact has proven to help the popularity of the original creation (recent example: PSY Gangnam Style)
  • Anti-Moral-and-National-Education-Curriculum (2012): the introduction of the Moral and National Education Curriculum in 2012 is another major issue that caused

(I didn’t know where to start, just only picked a few examples)

Recently, former senior PRC government officers made various statements condemning Hong Kong people for seeking independence, including this one:

  • Lu Ping, former director of the State Council’s Hong Kong and Macau Affairs Office, stated in an exchange of email with the South China Morning Post “Our country, which has a population of 1.3 billion, would not be bothered losing this handful of people.”

Lu said in recent months that Hong Kong would have been a “dead city” if it wasn’t for China and he threatened to stop supply of Dongjiang water (one of my previous post explained this is complete nonsense).

A so called motherland, threatened its own people to stopped water supply (disregarding the fact that this isn’t really the case, Hong Kong pays money for the extremely low quality water, making it a transaction not a merciful act), even said that it doesn’t matter to them to have 7million less people (implying lives aren’t important)…  No wonder this country allows torture, illegitimate killings, house arrest for no ground, and even orders to kill so to harvest human organs!
